It’s Been a Few Weeks
Yup. It’s been a few weeks. I would have guessed that being home on a travel pause would have made writing here easier, but it seems life flows into all the spaces it is given.

I decided I would try my hand at “English Paper Piecing” for our roadtrip to Reid’s graduation. My first handsewing craft has been so much fun. I am using up fabric scraps and discovering new ways to put colors together. (You can see it here on my puzzle table – which I have also used for a puzzle this summer.)
Marc’s and my work with Nonprofit Academy has a lot of my summer focus as well. We are gearing up for the first (annual?) summer camp where we will host six trainers and a virtual community campfire at the end of July. I’m putting a lot of effort into both the logistics and the promotion. We are answering the question we know everyone has asked at least once in their lives “What would happen if a professional fundraiser married a camp counselor?”

I have been enjoying this album (Somewhere, a Butterfly Sings – Kevin Du) which happens to include the talent and heart my favorite trumpet player. This modern jazz album is the debut album of Kevin Du. It is worth taking the time to sit through the whole album from start to finish (perhaps while working on some English Paper Piecing).
The cats have transitioned from being wholly indoor kitties to being indoor/outdoor kitties. They each respond differently to the different experiences and noises and continue to be ridiculously adorable.
Anna and I have also decided to attempt to grow some things and may get some cherry tomatoes even next week.

I reupholstered our kitchen chairs. This is their third skin, my second round of giving them an update. Next week, I will make a small valance from this material to go over the kitchen sink.
Marc and I just recorded our fiftieth podcast episode this morning for Still Figuring It Out. Almost done season four and beginning to make plans for seasons 5-8. I love our conversations and our interviews. And I’m learning so much about the back end of audio/video production.
I’m continuing to coach and to work with a mentor coach as it is time for me to renew my ACC credential through the International Coaching Federation. I love that my chosen work allows me so much chance to grow.
What else is there to give for up dates? I’m sure I’ll think of something once I hit send. But my hope today is that I will reignite the motion of weekly writing.
Hope you all are having a great summer.
